1. I mostly enjoy the creative activities that we did in class and for homework. I really liked to write a poem about my favorite place and a short story about the poem “Replay”.
2.I didn’t enjoy to write a reply letter to “Passing”. Because I didn’t understand clearly about what I have to do.
3.I think so far we have cover everything on class or for homework.
4.We could do more listening and creative writings.

In the poem alone by Maya Angelou, the author is showing us how loneliness make life difficult we can see that in this quote

In this quote also we can see how the character is complain about how loneliness make life difficult as Angelou did in the poem. On pg.11 swamper appraise him,"Well,he's a pretty nice fella. Gets pretty mad sometimes, but he's pretty nice. Tell ya what-know what he done Christmas? Brang a gallon of whisky right in here and says,'Drink hearty boys.Christmas comes but once a year.'"
In this quote we see that boss is a nice person. Swamper appraise he's nice but sometimes is mean. He brought whisky and shared with guys , everyone had fun and enjoy that night. He is generous to his workers.

In this quote, Curley’s wife acts like a trote. Her dress up don’t looks normal. Specially in the farm. She may be alone, that is why she try to get attraction from other men in the farm.

Curley’s wife is beautiful and pretty a woman. she is always temptation to other men.she is bad woman,.sometime she went to ranch,she dresses pretty provocative. on page 28 ”Yeah? Married two weeks and got the eye? Maybe that’s why curley’s pants is full of ants.” In this quote we see that Curley’s wife wants other men attention and like to her.
Curley is vicious person. This mainly because he hates big man, he wants to fight for them.

1. I enjoyed the most is working on group because it help us to find more
information on that poem/story.
2.I didn’t enjoy when i act infront of class because that time i was feeling so shy and
i taught everybody’s gonna laugh at me.
3.We did activities and topics except for the project.
4.Maybe you have to push that person again and again and if it doesn’t work then
you have to let the parents know about that.

The guys wouldn’t let him use his feet , Smitty says he woulda killed the ____ .” In this quote we can see that nobody likes to be with him , they let him join them just for fun , he can’t get any respect .

It reminds me about Curley's wife. I think, she don't see her husband a lot. Which makes her feel alone, and she don't want to be like that, and want some one to be with her. I think that is why she try to get attention from other men. I think, that is what the poem said. & I think, its not her fault.
Curley's wife likes to use a lot of make up she like to get the everybody atention, she's so sexy and i don't think she is a good wife.

Carlson is a powerful,big-stomached man, he’s very polite. In the other hand, he’s very rude, this is mainly because this shows his characterization.
ReplyDeleteOn page 35: “Glad to meet you.”Carlson said again. “He ain’t very small.” She chuckled softly at his joke. “Ain’t small at all,” he repeated. “meant to ask you,Slim---how’s your bitch?I seen she wasn’t under your wagon this morning.”
We can see that Carlson is very rude on joking others, This is a rude action. But he say hello to Slim, this shows he is very polite. So carlson is a kind of person that don’t do any thinking before the actions.
The boss is a is a very imposing and arrogant likes to tell people they have to do. he’s little stocky, wears blue jeans trousers, flannel shirt, black unbuttoned vest and a black coat. as he is the boss, he thinks he's smart and hate that people try to cheat at him.

This poem shows the author feels alone, it’s the same as the character George of “Of Mice And Man”. Line 18-30 shows how alone the author is, she really has a very terrible mood. It’s similar to George because George always be angry, the loneliness make their mood terrible. Also the loneliness make their life hard.Because of loneliness, they both need to take care of themselves.Because of her bad mood, everything in her eyes are very bad and depress.
Connection between the poem and Of Mice and Men:
ReplyDeleteIs that the theme of “Of Mice and Men” is loneliness make life difficult and this poem is similar because talks about loneliness too.
She is like expressing his feelings by the writing a poem about what he feels.
And the story shows that if you are alone you can’t do anything. For example:
Lennie can’t be alone because he has mental retardation and george is like his brother because george is with him all the time. Or curley because he is a rude guy that like to intimidated big guys by hate them.
In the poem line 11-13 shows loneliness makes life difficult when she says:

This mean that nobody can’t do things alone, always people will need the support of others to almost achieve their goal.
