When George was a little kid, he use to live with Lennie. But, one day his aunt took Lennie to take care of him. And when She died, she told George to take care of him.
ReplyDeleteOn Page:40 George says, “Him and me was both born in Auburn. I knowed his aunt Clara. She took him when he was a baby and raised him up. When his aunt Clara died, Lennie just came along with me out workin’. Got kinda use to each other after a little while.”
In this quote, George told Slim about his past histories. George told him about Lennie too. He told Slim why Lennie always be with him.

i think George is a carefully person, who take care of Lennie. he’s also gentle, but a man with a strong personality. he’s a right person and doesn’t like to be in problems, he also like to be always with Lennie for don’t make errors. George is like a person who is rude but at the bottom he bring love to Lenie. We think that Carlson did right thing in pages 44 to 49, because we think die is good for old dog,that is free for old dog. “Ain’t nothing left for him.Can’t eat,can’t see,can’t even walk without hurtin.”on page 47,this shows us the old dog is very sick,he can not work very well, doing anything with hurt. The die is good for him to get free.

In the quote Slim is trying to tell George that he giving Lennie a dog is not such a big deal, but it was actually the perfect present to Lennie, and that make George and Lennie happy.

Carlson is very a good guy and he is a responsible man.This is mainly because he was take care of other person.

2. i think Carlson did the right thing, for example, we can see in the hospital , when people who become very sick, sometimes, they request doctors stop treatments, because to be alive in this world to them is a kind of torture.as we see in the story, the old dog is very sick and old, i think to be alive for it, is full of pain, it needs someone to finish its life for the forever.

ReplyDeleteLennie is a little bit silly, and follows George all the time do whatever what George said, even if it is dangerous. And George often plays jokes on Lennie to have fun.

From this quote, it shows George likes bully the weak. Lennie bring too much trouble to George, so he plays jokes on him to have fun . But he takes care of Lennie since Lennie’s aunt dead, he also is responsible.

Lenny is a person that always forget things easily, but things that he could never forget is things that have to be with food. In page 56, George and Lennie are talking and oce George ask ”you remember any cushman,lennie? “the one that his old lady used to make hot cakes for kids?” yeah,thats the one that you remember anything to eat in it”. This quote show how George is trying to ask lennie if he remembers someone from the pass and it demonstrate how he remembers just because he remember the old lady that use to cook cakes for them.

2. I think Carlson did the right thing. This quote purposes that George resist to stay with Lennie in order to protect Lennie. He knows Lennie hasn’t ability to protect himself. Therefore, George resist to stay with Lennie. And response that George is a responsible person.
2. I think Calson does a wrong thing. The article states, “god almighty, that stinks as bad as an old dog. You gotta get him out .” This quote purposes that Calson want to through Candy’s dog away, even though he knows the dog is Candy’s best friend. Therefore i think Calson’s behavior is not good.

Calson is a rude guy. And he always gossips another person.
The boss is a is a very imposing and arrogant likes to tell people they have to do. he’s little stocky, wears blue jeans trousers, flannel shirt, black unbuttoned vest and a black coat. as he is the boss, he thinks he's smart and hate that people try to cheat at him.

Quote 47:
“At last Carlson said, “ if you want me to, I’ll put the old devil out of his misery right now and get it over with. Ain’t nothing left for him. Can’t eat, can’t see, can’t even walk without hurting’.”
Yes because the dog was suffering so much because he can’t eat, can’t see and can’t even walk without hurting’. And almost Carlson do the right things because he doesn’t want the dog to keep suffer so he did the mercy killing and put a shot(Luger pistol) in the dog’s neck. Then the old dog got slowly to carlson’s feet.

I think Carlson is a cruel person.

This quote shows us Carlson is a cruel person because he want shoot Candy's dog, the dog is live with Candy until he was small. But Carlson want shoot the dog, make it die.
I think curley is a insecure and demanding person.

2. I think Carlson did right thing in page 44-49, because the old dog cannot walk and eat, although it didn’t die but lives in pain,so it’s the mercy killing.
3. Curley is man plagued with jealous suspicions and is extremely possessive of his flirtatious young wife.
Curley burst into the room excitedly.” Any guys seen my wife?” he demanded.(page 53)
