Hi everyone,
This week we are going to become familiar with using a class blog.
Each week we will be using our blog to share our ideas about the literature we read and the themes we discuss in class.
Requirements:
- Headphones
- Gmail account (click here to get a gmail account) (make sure you choose a user name and password that you will remember because you will have to sign in often)
- Google docs account (comes with gmail and is free)
- Internet at home
I will expect you to finish the assignments on this blog each week. If you do not, you will have to finish them for homework.

Using technology in class will give to the class an other meaning .It will help us to develop our skills which we will be using later on.

Using blogs in our class will be so much helpful for alot of reasons foer instance a student may miss a class lesson the only way to have the note and review what the teacher did is to go to the class blog .

1. I think that is really helpful and I feel that this is the system of education we want to have. We live in 21st Century and almost everything runs on the computers.
2. I haven't used blogs in my classes until now, but last semester I had made a website for my History class. The site was made in order to help us do well on the Global History Regents and learn more English. After almost a month the site had 100 members and became so popular within the school.
3. Using blogs is one of the fastest way to share informations with your classmates. It is important that we use it because it keeps us in touch after classes and helps us learn together.
4. As a collage student this blog might be helpful on many ways for example, getting used to doing our homework online and typing it instead of writing it down in the notebooks, commenting and debating each other's works, sharing important links with each other, etc... As a professional adults later this blog might help us improve our critical thinking and decision making skills. Someday we might need to make something similar on our jobs and this would be great example.

In my math class,we do homework on the internet .Mr.Pineda gave us a website to get and do homework,our textbook is also in the website.When we finish homework,we can check answer, and the website can give us grade.
Why is it important to learn to use a blog for our class?
I think if we learn how to use a blog for our class,we can share our ideas anytime,not only in the class.Everyone has a computer and internet at home,blogs are used widely.
How will using this blog help you in the future as a college student and when you are a professional adult?
As a college student,my college teachers will not have too much time in class to know each stuent's mind.But when I use blogs,I can talk to others and get help anytime.As a professional adult,I can write articles to show my major to find someone who have same major with me.We can make friends to each others.

ReplyDeleteI fell a little confuse because I always use the notebook and a pen in the classroom but use computers are different, we have to be in the same rhythm and pay more attention to the teacher if we don't want to stay behind. It feel nice, too. We can search information of thing that we don't know and don't have to use books.
