Hi everyone,
Today we are going to use the blog to write from the point of view of Holden and Mr. Spencer.
In google docs, please do the following:
Imagine you are Mr. Spencer. Write a letter to Holden and tell him about what you think and feel about his visit to you. Your letter should be at least 3 paragraphs long.
Paragraph 1 - thank him for coming and tell him what it meant to you to see him
Paragraph 2 - tell him your feelings about the visit
Paragraph 3 - give him advice for his future
Then post your letter to our blog.
After, read another student's letter and write back to this letter, as if you are Holden.

Boy, thank you very much for coming. Even though I sent you a letter to come and visit me, I wasn’t expecting that you will really come. Knowing the way you are, I wasn’t expecting you at all. But as you came the only thing I can tell you is, thank you. I missed you. Not a lot has changed since you left, me and my wife are still getting bangs from life and we are still happy. All is the same boy, except that you aren’t here, you are really something special in our hearts.
In my room surrounded by all my medicine, I felt like it was a present for me that you came. It’s sad that I won’t see you again, but after that day is even more sad because now I feel like having you closer than before. When I saw you it just reminded me of all the good times we had together for example, the day we saw each other when you were having hot chocolate with your friends and I was showing you my blanket, oh boy we really had fun. It really meant a lot to me that you came.
Remember you told me you do have some concerns for your future, I really believe that you could do much better in the future. Remember life is game that one plays according to the rules. Always make an effort to win the game, and remember the rules boy. Try to keep me in your mind, if not me then remember my words. I know you wouldn't like me to wish you good luck but in this case that’s all I can wish and say. I wish the best for you and I really hope to see you again some day boy.

Boy, thanks for your coming today. For you coming here, that means we have better relationship that others. Otherwise you would never come to see me. And you have said the reason about why you leave school, because you are surrounded by phonies. Maybe you know I care you about you, and you want to see me last time and say good bye to me. I think this visit will be nice memories because you trust me.
I am so happy that I am the only person you meet before you leave school. And I am so sorry that I can not do anything for your situation. Before someone came in my office, I did not know who this person is. I was surprising that person is you, in that time I feel strong content because I care you so much at school, and you remember come here to see me before you leave school. I am so satisfying to meet you.
I am concern about your future, because you never try, and you are separated by society. I think you need try to talk with people and respect them, then they will return to you. This way will make you feel content, and you will never think people are phony. I know you are smart but you did not try, so I suggest you need study more hard that do not let school expel you again and again. I hope when I see you again in the future, you will change yourself.
Im so gratefully for come to visit this old guy .I needed to talk whit somebody and that were you . I like when u come to visit me because u fell alive when you come. Also i can say that this visit means a lot for me even more that you think,hank a lot for cheering me up.

It been a pleasure to see you, I want to tell you that I’m going to miss you a lot even you are not the best student I ever had, but you are special to me. It means a lot to me that you take your time to come and visit me before you leave because I know you have been kick out of school.I want to tell you that I count on you and I know that you will work hard to have a good future.I’m glad that we had this conversation and I hope that you were listening and taking my advice.And I hope that I would see you again.
I felt pretty happy because of your visit, for me it means that you care about me just a little bit. Also, I felt very comfortable talking with you because I get the opportunity to tell you how I felt and kind of know what’s going on in your mind.
I want to tell you that you have to follow the rules in the game of life if you want to succeed. We are the one who decide if we are going to be happy with our actions , what I meant is that if you follow the rules you won’t have problem in life, but if you don’t there will be consequences of your own action. You need to take life pretty serious if you want to become someone very successful. And I hope that you will apply this advice in your life and became someone that you want to be.

My Boy I’m writing you this letter to thank you for coming and visit me.For me this means a lot,because you have been nice with me even if you didn’t study anything also it’s was good to see you. I really appreciate that. I think students like you won’t do something like that and I’m really happy to have you as a student .Your visit was a big surprise for me. I missed you and not only me my wife have missed you too .Nothing is changed only that we are getting older every day and you are growing.
Your visit made me smile and make me think about when I was about your ages. When I was with you and your friends drinking hot chocolate I had a lot of fun.I also remember when i showed you my old blanket and what was the expression of your face, it was really funny .And now I miss that moments but now I’m on this bed hard like a rock and I just have the memories.It was really happy to see you again after long time.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all I wanted to thank you for the visit in that day. I appreciate that you took a time to stop by and say good-by and I felt happy to have your company, even though you’re living us now in this very unfortunate time.
I also wanted to say I’m sorry for my reception that day considering that the gripe made me look terrible and smell like medicine the whole week. I saw you really uncomfortable and sort of fidgety many times during our conversation, specially when I read your essay about the Egyptian civilization. I didn’t meant to make you feel like that, but that was I way to make you open your eyes for life and think about yours.
Now, in this new phase, try to fix your mistakes ad catch up with the work that was left behind. Hi! my lovely student Holden.I’m your teacher Mr.Spencer. I’m glad to meet you after you got my note. For me, i tryto understand your problems.but I’m not understand everything and I really want to help you and you need to try yourself best.
I think you can do betterin school.Also i hope you could think more about your future because your life is a variable.Although you did bad in composition, I still feel happy that you would come to see me after i read it out lound. When i see you first time, i didn’t understand what you behave in school because you can be a good student but you looked lazy and showed that you did not care things around you even yourself.
In fact, I know you always dodge what i am saying to you. Actually I was thinking about my teenager’s period,I always think it’s a kind of the same as you. When i was teen i felt very sensitive and i thought nobody listen to me and some adults did not pay attention of my opinions. I thought they just said useless things and I felt empty inside of my heart,so I think you need to talk to them what you think and what do you want. I passed that time long time ago so I’ll tell you more about my experience and my secrets. I hope you can learn from my help and try to really understand our talk.

As you know I’m sick and your presence here was a really great surprise. I hope all we talked about has been helpful to you. It meant a lot to me. I think it meant a lot to you too but you just don't like to express your feelings. I want to make sure that you know I will always be there for you every time you need someone to talk to.
Despite of your arrogant attitude I know you enjoyed talking to me. I could see in your eyes that you are afraid of something that I don't really know what it is. I wouldn't like you to think that I read your history essay just to make you embarrassed in front of me because all I wanted to do was make you realize how low is your effort in school. Holden, I know it seems like anyone in your life understands you but you need to start focusing more in what really matters for your future. Everything will be better if you stop thinking that you’re the best person in the world. I know maybe this is last time to see you because you maybe leave the school and never come back.To be honest , I really anticipate you can still stay in the school.Therefore, I let you to see me and talk to me.I want to know about your feeling and thoughts.I also know it’s hard for you to communicate with a teacher without silence.You are a very bad boy that well-known for this school.You failed the class and did many bad behavior such as smoking and fighting and so on. However, i know it’s not your own original meaning to do these things that hurt parents and teachers deeply. I KNOW it’s common for teenagers to possess these feelings in theirs age. I write this letter to give you thank you so much for coming. I’m really happy with your visit. I never imaged you came to see me. Now I can to know what kind of person you are. Your visit means too much for me. I really appreciate that. I think students like you won’t do something like that and I’m really happy to have you as a student .
Your visit made me smile and make me think about when I was about your ages. When I was with you and your friends drinking hot chocolate I had a lot of fun.I also remember when i showed you my old blanket and what was the expression of your face, it was really funny .
